Diary 2004. 8 8月2日 (月)  SOWA (Something Of Wondrous Art) 　 トリックアートミュージアム　SOWA美術館　 All the art works in this museum　are two-demensional, painted with special paint on flat panels. But the trick of light and the trick of eyesight make them look three-dimensional. A variety of reproductions of famous paintings as well as paintings full of playful spirit and humor are exhibited here. In the first picture I pretend to hold one of the boxes, which is actually painted on a plane surface. The third picture is the front of the museum. My sister and her daughter had hard time keeping that position while I was taking the picture. 新潟県三島郡寺泊町大字野積にあるトリックアートミュージアムSOWA美術館に京都から遊びに来た私の妹と姪を連れて行ってきました。最初の写真、箱を抱えてるふりをしてみましたが、平面に描かれたものです。立体的に見えてるけど全て平面に描かれてます。こんな風に遊べる楽しい美術館です。3つ目の写真は美術館の正面、かなり苦しい体勢でがんばって撮影しました。 ところで私と妹は年とともにだんだん似てきたらしくて写真を見た英会話の生徒さん達にどれが私でどれが妹か区別がつかなかったと言われました。 8月4日 (水)  The Sea 　海 My sister, her daughter and I are playing with the water on the beach. In the evening we enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Sea of Japan. The clouds turn red. 京都から遊びに来ている妹とその娘と一緒に海岸でしばし戯れる。やがて夕日が日本海に沈みます。
